				The patient was a 56-year-old female being seen regularly for 6 years by Dr. Khansari for periodontal maintenance. The patient was experiencing discomfort in her front tooth after biting improperly. The patient presented with a vertical root fracture and a poor prognosis.
Dr. Khansari performed an extraction and immediate implant placement under IV sedation without complications. After a healing period, Dr. Khansari was able to restore the front tooth with a natural-looking implant crown.
